What information this website collects, how it's used, and how to change your cookie choices.

This policy explains what personal information I collect through this website, why, and what your choices are. I’ve kept it as plain as I can.
Who I am
This website is run by Jenny Richmond, trading as Jenny Richmond Studio, Waterway House, Suite 2, Canal Street, Wigan, WN6 7NQ. I’m responsible for how your information is used here. If you have any questions, email me at Jenny@jrsportstherapy.com or call 07725 369390.
Information you give me
Contact form. When you send an enquiry, I receive your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), the treatment you’re interested in and your message. It arrives in my email inbox, and I use it only to reply to you and arrange your appointment. Please only share what you’re comfortable with — you don’t need to include health details in the form, and we can talk those through privately.
Online booking. If you book through the Book Online page, your booking is handled by Cliniko, the practice management system I use to manage appointments. The information you enter there is held by Cliniko on my behalf. Where a payment is taken, it is processed by Stripe — I never see your full card details.
I rely on your consent, and on taking steps at your request before an appointment, to use this information. Where it includes anything about your health, I only use it to provide your care.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set any cookies of its own until you make a choice on the cookie banner.
- Google Analytics (only if you press Accept). Helps me understand how people find and use the website — for example which pages are visited — so I can improve it. It sets the cookies
_gaand_ga_1DC4T4Y39J, which last up to 2 years. Advertising features are switched off. Google may process this data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. - Your cookie choice. Remembered on your own device (in your browser’s local storage, not a cookie) so the banner doesn’t keep reappearing.
- Online booking. The Cliniko booking page loads Stripe, which may set a cookie used to prevent fraud. This is needed for secure payments.
You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings (also in the footer of every page). If you reject after accepting, analytics stops and its cookies are removed.
Other services this website uses
- Google Fonts — the website’s fonts are loaded from Google, which means your browser shares your IP address with Google when a page loads.
- Hosting and email — the website is hosted by Hostinger, and contact form messages are sent through Hostinger’s email service to my inbox.
- Social media — links to Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn are ordinary links. Nothing is shared with those sites unless you click through, after which their own privacy policies apply.
How long I keep your information
I keep enquiry emails only for as long as I need them to respond to you and to manage any appointments that follow, and for as long as I’m required to keep records for professional and legal reasons. Analytics data is kept by Google in line with the retention settings on my account.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information I hold about you
- ask me to correct anything that’s wrong
- ask me to delete your information
- object to or ask me to limit how I use it
- withdraw your consent at any time
To do any of these, just email Jenny@jrsportstherapy.com. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, though I’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes to this policy
If anything changes — for example if I start using a new service — I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
